NEWS FROM THE FRENCH CORNER

Grade 3/4 The students were working very hard this morning. They were describing each other's clothing and then we moved to the adjectives. They observed that the adjectives had to be in agreements with the nouns they describe. So, they were talking about feminine, masculine and plural. This will be the focus for this week.
Homework is to describe a family member's clothing in as much detail as possible.

Grade 7&8 The lesson today was about VOULOIR, C'EST POUVOIR! A review for some and new verbs for others. These verbs are to be memorized!
Grade 7 worked on questions referring to the text read last week. This was a good opportunity to review the unit's vocabulary.
Grade 8 had some time to pair up and study for Wednesday's test. Review p. 218

Grade 5/6 reviewed er and ir regular verbs and they are getting quite good at it. They also took up avoir and être. They also listed insects/animals that are called social in preparation to the unit project. After this, they listed verbs that go with certain adjectives. Well done!

Grade 1/2 are working so hard and they succesfully did a couple of pages of vocabulary cross-words. They also can recognize that when they hear the question Qui est-ce? they have to answer with the name of a person as oppose to Qu'est-ce que c'est? where you have to answer with a thing.

JK/SK are starting to recognize the vocabulary for body parts and can place the cards accurately. They also had a duel with counting 0-30 and Wow!!! they are very competent.
