NEWS FROM THE FRENCH CORNER

Grade 3/4 students worked on their activity: Tout sur MOI! This is where they describe themselves with name, age, favorite activity, likes and dislikes.

Grade 7 are organizing their stories and presenting their choices of facts from a large list. They are very creative and some stories were quite amusing.

Grade 8 presented their Web/Facebook page about themselves. They worked really hard for this project and peer edited their work like pros! These were excellent presentations and the students were very creative. Well done!

Grade 7/8 had a combined lesson/refresher on l'inversion and various ways to ask a question. They also reviewed their adverbs: beaucoup, assez, peu and trop.
Homework is to complete the section (both sides) of the 'conjonctions', mais, et, ou and parce que...

Grade 1/2 are learning parts of a sentence in English with their sentence buddies. So, it was fitting that we made the connection with French. They came up with short sentences to act out and say. The setting today was the town square and the road where they demonstrated who they were by saying Je suis...une danseuse, la police, une artiste, une actrice, un conducteur, un pirate and Tiffany was the police and arrested whoever stayed on the road too long.
They finished the session with drawing and coloring a Fall/Thanksgiving picture.

JK/SK worked really well today and everyone was participating. They are singing Alouette (which for today was a turkey). This is how we are learning the body parts. They also demonstrated great colouring skills on their Fall picture.
