Mercredi!

NEWS FROM THE FRENCH CORNER

Grade 3/4 This morning's assembly was quite exciting. A representative from the Terry Fox Foundation came to present the school with the 20th year banner and the students presented a cheque.
In class, we used a spin wheel with different characters and sports. They practiced to say 'IL, ELLE'...aime or n'aime pas and added the sport. They also repeated the excercise in writing.

Grade 5/6 The students received their projects back and were given additional instructions for future assignments such as FOLLOW the rubric for maximum results.
Afterwards, they read the begining of unit 3, yes we are skipping unit 2 which will be more fun to do closer to the Holidays. For now, they are exploring the activities in a ant hill,  yes, an ant hill! New verbs and adjectives and a lot to learn about social animals and insects.

Grade 7/8 we took up the homework from last week. A few students had not done their part, so we took up a bit more time.
Grade 7 started a new unit on Le Rythme. They took up the vocabulary.
Grade 8 completed a pop quiz on unit reflexive verbs and adjectives.

Grade 1/2 had their first mini-quiz and it was a great success! Then everyone was assigned a slate and they had to draw what they heard. Well done.

JK/SK went through the routine and Brooke did the calendar by counting 1-11 without help! Bravo. They had a story read: Benjamin plante un arbre. Then, they coloured a booklet on the 5 senses.
