C'est l'Halloween cette semaine!

NEWS FROM THE FRENCH CORNER

Grade 3/4 students are learning simple verbs ending in ER. They have discovered that when we use 'TU' the verb ends with an 'S'. You would be pleasantly surprised to hear that they are reading from the textbook and activity sheets quite easily. Well done!

Grade 7 took their test on vouloir and pouvoir as well as a short read and comprehension component. They did not have much difficulty at all.
I also read a sample text for them and they had to fill the blank. Everyone did very well. They now have a model to use for la tâche finale.
This project is due on Monday, Nov. 2 and they will have time in class to work on the text. The students have a rubric and know what is expected.

Grade 8 Matched newspaper headlines to an article. They are learning to use the vocabulary for detective work, computer (cyber) crime.
They will have time in class to complete their skits, invitation, identity card, police report etc...This is due for presentation on Wednesday, Nov.4

Grade 5/6 Several students had not completed their homework and had to work on it during class. When the assignments were finished, grade 6 went to the library to get French books and write a short summary.
Grade 5 took grade appropriate reading and did the same.

Grade 1/2 It is Halloween puppet time! They have been waiting for this for weeks! So, they are learning about action words, matched songs and made skits.

JK/SK had fun with the puppets! It is amazing how they are willing to speak when using the puppets! Lots of singing going on too!
