NEWS FROM THE FRENCH CORNER.

This was a very busy week for everyone in the school. The younger children were actively
observing signs of Spring and the older students were putting the finishing touch to their various projects.

JK & SK were listing their favorite birds and animals sightings from around their house.

Grade 1 finished identifying the seasons from different post cards. Several students were successfully reading the short texts as well.

Grade 2 We started the introduction unit on water cycle. It was interesting to see their reaction when they realized how many words were the same in French and English. Our 'in-house' expression for theese words is BONUS WORDS (cognates).  Next week, the children will choose different areas of interest regarding water use in our lives.

Grade 3 & 4 THE PLAY, THE PLAY, THE PLAY.
The reading are proceeding well and everyone is encouraged to memorize their lines.

Grade 5 completed their questionnaire.

Grade 6 did a mock role play for their restaurant oral presentation. Monday, 14th is the day.

Grade 7 & 8 received instructions on their letter formatting. They will have 3 days next week to show their work in class.

I wish everyone a great and safe weekend.
