NEWS FROM THE FRENCH CORNER

Grade 3/4 The students took up last week's lesson on adverbs of quantity. After completing 2 sets of illustrations and the appropriate words written down, they worked on a cross words with some translation from English to French. Wow! They are such hard little workers.

Grade 7 The students reviewed the rubric for their projects. They should have the name of  2 microbes and a few pertinent facts to use in a Venn diagram. Due date for the project is Wednesday, Dec. 2.
The rest of the period was used to re-arrange in correct sequence sentences with irregular adjectives (placed before the noun). Please finish this for homework as well.

Grade 8 reviewed their rubric for their project. They also watched a cou;ple of scenes from Notre Dame de Paris, based on the novel from Victor Hugo. At lunch time, I went back to talk about what they had seen and they will be researching the novel and report their findings on Wednesday.

Grade 1/2 The Christmas concert rehearsal is in full swing. The students all have their sheets with their own section of the poem highlighted. They also have a few lines of a song to sing with the JK/SK and everyone is partnered up between the 4 grades.

JK/SK After the routine work of weather and calendar, they listened to a story: Martine à la cuisine. The grade 1/2 joined in to learn the Christmas song. They did sound pretty good for a first rehearsal.
