NEWS FROM THE FRENCH CORNER

Grade 9 French- today's lesson was a much needed review of irregular adjectives. Activity started in class, and also your exit ticket, and homework, was to use these adjectives and describe 1. yourself   2. describe another person (so if you are a girl you need to describe a boy, and vice versa)   3. describe a celebrity of your choice.

Grade 8 French it was all about vouloir, pouvoir and devoir. Students copied the verbs down in their notebook. They also used them in model sentences.
Homework: please memorize these 3 verbs for Wednesday. Bonus is that you can use them in a sentence...let's see who is going to do this!

Grade 5/6 students learned about 'adjectifs possessifs'. They made a grid, and in groups began to use them in simple sentences.
Homework: memorize the grid...house points will go to the house that can do this best.

JK/SK students wanted a story today. So, out comes the very BIG book, and they listened to 'la petite poule rouge'.

Grade 1/2 students are working on written word recognition. Let's just say it was a mad rush to find all the items in the classroom.

Grade 3/4 students began reading about actions necessary to complete a recipe.
Homework: memorize the 10 steps (verbs at the imperative verb tense). Also, if you can (ask parents first), find a recipe on a cereal box or label on a can, and bring to school to share.
