NEWS FROM THE FRENCH CORNER

Grade 1/2 The class is ready for the DYFA French play! We added the props, actions, and practiced once in the gym with other classes. Thank you Mrs Ruby for organizing the making and laminating of the masks. They are beautiful.

JK/SK A bit of a mixed up day to accommodate a guest speaker this afternoon. Students learned that garbage is déchets, trucks are camion, etc.
Where the used water goes, and looked out of the window to see the Orangeville water tower. They had a lot of questions.

Grade 5/6 The translation is almost completed, with a few edits next week. Students should start practicing speaking their lines at that time as well.

Grade 3/4 Students joined 2 other classes for a quick rehearsal for DYFA. Following this, students completed the booklet on domestic animals, finishing with sentences such as 'mon animal préféré est...'
We took a few minutes to use the dance steps and call the dance in French.

Grade 7/8 With several students away today, the class played a game of connect-4, and worked their verbs in passé composé, including the pronouns they were working on this week. The boys claimed victory today!.
Next week, both groups will be working on the composition of their letters.
